Psychotherapy

Adults:
Weekly sessions either 45 or 60 min sessions

Humanistic and/or cognitive behavioral treatment used for a variety of reasons including to help engender more insight and awareness and to help cope with obstacles such as anxiety or depression that are hindering life transitions (i.e.: college, new career, relationships). With patience and persistence, our patients cultivate greater confidence and self-esteem, richer relationships and more emotional balance and health.

Adolescents:
Weekly 45 or 60 min sessions

Humanistic and/or cognitive behavioral treatment used to help improve coping skills, reduce anxiety, manage/reduce depression, deal with the effects of ADHD, improve problem-solving skills, begin the individuation process in preparation for college


Children:
Weekly sessions, typically around 45 min

Play Therapy, humanistic therapy, and/or Cognitive Behavior Therapy used to help with symptoms of ADHD, divorce reaction, anxiety, or loss.  An essential part of child therapy is parent guidance sessions where the parent will learn new and healthy ways to interact with his/her child, appropriate ways to deal with discipline, and ways to improve family relationships
